Made in Fabric / #social fabric

2022 was the year the house learned to belong to the neighbourhood. In May, the newly founded association won two "Impuls în Comunitate" municipal grants at once from Centrul de Proiecte Timișoara — "Social Fabric", with 149,814 lei, and "Făcute în Fabric", with 74,954 lei. With them, the courtyards of the Jakab Toffler Palace and Piața Traian filled up with free workshops for children, young people and adults.

There were two editions of Atelier Creion, the drawing workshop, an Atelier de Fanzine for zine-making and an Atelier Sgomot devoted to sound creation, while the linden tree in the courtyard was scanned in three dimensions, in an intervention called "Tei 3D". The kitchen had its place too: the Delikat Essen culinary workshops always continued into community meals, alongside the Cultura Cafelei coffee sessions and the yoga classes. The series was completed by a community-activation workshop and the publication that followed it, the Kit de activare comunitară.

On 16 July, a Picnic Party closed the two weeks of the architecture students' practice. In Piața Traian, the programme stepped out of the courtyard with a public debate and a book launch. The year also included the music and performance event Rekabu und Sillyconductor — "Always a Party" — and documentary film screenings made together with One World Romania and Bloc Zero.

The programme was co-organised with Minitremu and funded by Centrul de Proiecte Timișoara, and the culinary workshops were run together with Delikat Essen.
