Privacy
In short
This site asks nothing of you in order to be read. The only data collected is traffic statistics, through Google Analytics, and only if you choose to accept. If you decline, nothing loads from Google and no analytics cookie is stored.
What we measure
If you accept, Google Analytics records:
- the pages visited and their titles;
- the language you chose (Romanian or English);
- approximate country and city, derived from your IP address;
- device and browser type;
- the page you arrived from;
- a few interactions: opening an image gallery, loading the 3D model of the linden tree, clicking through to Facebook or Instagram, clicking the email address.
We collect no names, no email addresses and nothing else that could identify you, we build no profiles, and we do not use any of it for advertising.
Cookies
If you accept, Google Analytics stores two cookies in your browser, _ga and _ga_ followed by the property identifier. They hold a random number that tells one visitor from another, so that the same person is not counted ten times over, and they expire after two years.
Your choice — accepted or declined — is stored separately, in localStorage, under the key cjt.consent. It is not a cookie, it is never sent anywhere, and it stays on your device. After 12 months the choice expires and the site asks again.
Beyond these, the site uses no cookies.
Legal basis
Your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the rules on electronic communications. Until you press Accept, no Google script is loaded and no request leaves for Google's servers.
Withdrawing consent
Every page carries a Cookies link in its footer. Open it and choose again — withdrawing is exactly as easy as accepting. Withdrawal takes effect immediately: collection stops on the spot, the site deletes the _ga and _ga_… cookies already stored, and Google scripts are no longer loaded on later visits.
How long we keep it
Visitor- and event-level data is kept in our Google Analytics account for 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically. Aggregate reports — how many visits a page had in a given month, say — remain available beyond that, but can no longer be tied to any one visit.
Who processes the data
Controller: Casa Jakab Toffler, Strada Constantin Titel Petrescu nr. 4, Timișoara, Romania.
Processor: Google Ireland Limited, which operates Google Analytics. Data may also be processed on servers outside the European Union, under the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
The email you send us
Our contact address does not appear in the page source — it is assembled in the browser so it cannot be harvested automatically. When you write to us, your message arrives in an ordinary mailbox. We keep it for as long as answering you requires and for the association's own records, and we use it for nothing else.
Your rights
You may ask for access to your data, for it to be corrected or erased, for processing to be restricted, and you may object to processing. Write to us — the address is on the Contact page. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP).
