Jakab Toffler's Report Palace Unveiled
Two August evenings in which the garden of Casa Jakab Toffler became a cultural space for the City Celebration: talks, debates, screenings, guided tours, music and a newspaper launch.
On 17 and 18 August 2024, during the City Celebration, the Jakab Toffler report palace let itself be discovered. For two evenings the garden became an open cultural space: presentations and debates, screenings, guided tours, music and a newspaper launch. The thread running through the programme was the tangible and intangible heritage of the Fabric district — its buildings and courtyards, but also the stories, customs and neighbourly relations that keep it alive.
Around the same time, Casa Jakab Toffler took part in other neighbourhood contexts as well. On 17 August, together with the Minitremu Association, it ran a Kamishibai storytelling workshop for children at "Woven Secrets", the neighbourhood festival organised by FABER in the former 1 Iunie factory. On 27 September it was local partner for the screening of the SARE artistic recipe series and the artist talk hosted by Minitremu's (un)learning center.
