co-LIZA 2.0. A residency with Atelier AdHoc
The first Social Fabric 2023 residency ended with co-LIZA 2.0 — a mobile community-activation kit designed for Casa Jakab Toffler and Minitremu.
A kit you can carry, assemble in minutes, and use to turn an ordinary courtyard into a meeting place.
Part ofSocial Fabric 2023
On the evening of 20 June 2023 the garden of Casa Jakab Toffler filled with chairs and with people: Maria Daria Oancea and George Marinescu opened the Social Fabric programme's series of public presentations. Their architecture collective, Atelier AdHoc, has worked out of Bucharest since 2015 in the field of social infrastructure — projects such as Perimetru de Solidaritate, substandardPLUS, co-LIZA and A treia ipostază.
This first residency produced co-LIZA 2.0: a mobile community-activation kit, with detail design by Andrei Savonea, made for Casa Jakab Toffler and Minitremu.
A kit that asks for no permanent place: it travels, it is set down where it is needed, then packed away — and in the meantime people gather around it. Exactly the kind of unassuming infrastructure a neighbourhood courtyard needs.
