Social Fabric – Activity Report

The cultural project "Social Fabric" brought together a series of public activities and events to bring value to the interior courtyards of the Jakab Toffler Palace and the tangible and intangible heritage of the Fabric district. The endeavour sought the physical and symbolic reimagining of the shared space, to improve the quality of living, cohesion and the sense of belonging.

The project was built around artistic and research residencies, with collaborative processes of intervention in public space. Events included workshops for adults, youth and children, theatre and documentary film evenings, concerts and exhibitions, alongside cultural products such as the Voices of Fabric newspaper. Casa Jakab Toffler also became host to the Typo Passage TM initiative.

A central moment was the "Married vs. Unmarried" exhibition and the second edition of the "Football in Traian" tournament — a grass mini-football event, free of charge, conceived as an inclusive platform for the district's neighbours and communities.
